Gavin Wilson-Tyers – Yaralla Junior Sports Star

Gavin trains hard and excels in his chosen sports of Rugby League, Rugby Union and Martial Arts.

The last two months are a testament to his hard work and dedication with participation in the following carnivals and representative teams. In 9 days he played 17 games of league and union. Playing in the Rockhampton Regional Shield for school boys Rugby League, CQ Bushrangers Rugby Union in Brisbane, Jason Hetherington Cup in Gladstone, Laurie Spina Shield in Townsville and returning to Townsville a week later for the Capricornia School Boys Rugby Union. He finished his last game for Wallabys Rugby League Club, with his team being undefeated for the 2019 season!

After carnivals Gavin has had many opposition players approach him to shake his hand, ask for a photo and congratulate him. He has a very big, kind and humble heart. He has wonderful supporting family, friends, team mates and coaches who remind him why he plays and he proves to the world just how amazing he is through his game.

Gavin trains at Beast Martial Arts on Monday and Wednesday and also does one-on-one personal training with coach Jason to improve his strength, speed and fitness.
