Nominated sporting Club: Gladstone Tennis & Squash Association
Nicholas has been always had a keen interest in playing sport from an early age. Approximately 3 years ago though he picked up a squash racquet and literally hasn’t put it down!
He has represented the Central QLD Bulls team for 3 years and this year he placed 4th in under 15 boys at the QLD Junior Championships. He has also represented the Port Curtis, Capricornia and QLD regions for school squash teams.
Last month he represented QLD in the Trans Tasman Secondary School Tournament that was held in Sydney . During the tournament he placed 4th from the NSW and QLD teams and was therefore chosen to represent the 15 and under Australian Boys Team. This team had to play against the team from New Zealand and despite some losses against the New Zealand members, Nicholas was extremely fortunate to have had such an opportunity to play against New Zealand’s best.
Nicholas can be found training down at the local squash courts most afternoons and has recently encouraged a few of his friends to come and play the sport too. Nicholas is extremely dedicated to this sport and it is amazing to see how much he loves squash.
