mack won silver at the Queensland U16 Heptathlon Championships at the Queensland State Athletics Centre in Brisbane.
He smashed his previous best in heptathlon by 853 points when he gained a new personal best in all seven events. This win secured his spot to compete at the Australian Age Combined Event Championships held in Hobart in March.
Mack placed 3rd in Australia for the Heptathlon event at the Championships. He smashed the competition by an impressive 9 seconds in the 1500m event and placed a close second in the long jump, 200m and 100m hurdles events.
He also received gold in the 300m and bronze in the 100m hurdles at the recent Little Athletics States Competition.
