Mathew Marjoram – Yaralla Junior Sports Star

Mathew has been very successful in a number of sports!

He currently plays in the NRL Development Cup for Calliope and this year he was lucky enough to represent Capricornia in Rugby League and played at the State Championships in Brisbane at the end of June.

Mathew started playing Touch Football in the off season 2018 and enjoyed the game so much that he tried out for the U12 representative side this year (a year above his age group) and made it! A few weeks ago he played in the CQ Junior Champs where he played so well, he was selected in the U12 CQ Bulls team for 2019. They will represent the region in that state carnival in August for the chance to play for Queensland selection.

To top it all of he has also represented Port Curtis in Athletics in the 100m, 200m and long jump! Mathew just loves his sport and dedicates himself to training, sometimes 7 days a week.
