NIC WAS RECENTLY NAMED AGE CHAMPION AT THE PORT CURTIS ATHLETICS TRIALS AFTER COMPETING IN 12 EVENTS ACROSS TWO DAYS.
Nic is an all-rounder when it comes to athletics, but if he had to choose one event that is his favourite, it would be high jump. After an amazing result at the 2019 Coles QLD Athletics Championships, he was sent to Olympic Park, Sydney in April to compete in the U16 Men’s High Jump at the 2019 Australian Track and Field Championships. This was the highlight of his sporting journey to date! Now jumping above his own height, he has been training hard in the off-season to get ahead of the competition when he travels away to represent his club and city.
In his spare time Nic plays soccer in the local competition and coaches his younger brother’s U7 team. Nic was also chosen to play soccer in the Port Curtis team and continues to play in the weekly competition for his club. Being a mentor and role model to younger athletes is something that he enjoys and he hopes he can encourage others to achieve.
